    This application is for residents interested in volunteering to serve on the Board of Adjustment and is due to the City Clerk’s office by 4:30 p.m. on April 17, 2026.

  2. Appointment Authority:

    “A board of adjustment is hereby established, which shall consist of five members appointed by the board who are residents in the city. The membership of the first board of adjustment appointed shall serve respectively, one for one year, one for two years, one for three years, one for four years, and one for five years. Thereafter members shall be appointed for a term of five years. Members of the board of adjustment may be removed from office by the board for cause upon written charges and after public hearing.”

  3. Duties

    “…To hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision, interpretation or determination made by the planning and development director in the enforcement of this chapter.”

  5. "AT WILL" Appointment

    “The appointments to all boards, commissions, committees and councils are at the will of the board, unless otherwise provided in this Code or by state law.” – Branson Municipal Code Sec. 2-201

  6. Removal From Board

    Appointee may be removed from a board, commission, committee and council for any reason. “Appointee removal shall be in the same manner and vote requirement as the manner and vote requirement for appointment.” – Branson Municipal Code Sec. 2-201
