Red Tape Review

In support of economic growth and development, the City of Branson has launched a ‘Red Tape Review’ initiative to modernize local government and improve service delivery to businesses, residents, and taxpayers.

The effort includes collecting input from businesses, developers, residents, and local partners to identify needed updates or changes within City operations. The Branson Board of Aldermen unanimously passed the resolution to establish the Red Tape Review on March 28, 2023.


The Red Tape Review directs leadership to identify the following:

  • Excessive, outdated regulations and procedures;
  • Ambiguous code language;
  • Internal procedures that reduce the efficiency and effectiveness of delivering City programs and services;
  • Regulations or internal procedures that are burdensome to local economic development and growth.

As an intended result, the City of Branson will identify, eliminate and/or adopt revised practices and code to ensure the delivery of public services and programs in the most cost-efficient and effective manner.

  • Step 1 — Go to the Submit an Inquiry page and create a regulation inquiry.
  • Step 2 — City staff will confirm they received your inquiry by email.
  • Step 3 — City staff will research your inquiry and will contact you if additional information is requested.
