A Great Weekend to See a Show in Branson, Mo!

Branson is filled with special acts in town for the weekend of October 18th through the 20th.  Four Hit-Making Groups from the 60′s are performing in one show at the Andy Williams Theater. The Happy Together Tour celebrates the music of the sixties with The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Monkees lead singer Micky Dolenz, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap Band, and Mark Lindsay, Sawyer_Brown_1former lead singer of Paul Revere & The Raiders, bringing good time music to Branson! These four artists have over sixty Top 40 hits to choose from, including six number one songs. Half of those Top 40 hits were Top 10! The Oakridge Boys Theater also has a jam packed weekend of entertainment. October 19th Sawyer Brown takes the stage. Sawyer Brown was discovered through the show star search in the early 90’s. Their pop country sound lead the way for many county bands of the 90’s. their hits like ‘Six days on the road” and “The Boy’s and Me.” Sawyer Brown has released twenty studio albums, of which three have been certified gold in the United States for sales of 500,000 copies. You can make a weekend seeing shows, The Gatlin Brothers, Steve, Rudy and Larry will be performing all their hits at the Starlite Theater Saturday October 20th.

Branson Fall Line Up Is Star Studded

Lee GreenwoodThe stars are out this fall in Branson.  September and October has quite the line up at Branson Theaters.  Coming this fall to the Andy Williams Moon River Theater is Rich Little, Lee Greenwood, Clint Black and the Happy Together Tour with The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Monkees Lead Singer Micky Dolenz, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap Band and Mark Lindsay, former lead singer of Paul Revere & The Raiders.

The Starlite Theatre will host the Gatlin Brothers, Rhonda Vincent, Gene Wats, Daily Vincent, Wilson Fairchi and the Grascals during September and October in Branson.  At the Oak Ridge Boys Theatre, its name sake will be in Branson for the select dates during the fall Branson season along with playing host to Neal McCoy, Kenny Rogers, Bill Cosby, Sawyer Brown, John Michael Montgomery, Jim Belushi & The Chicago Board of Comedy and Diamond Rio.

So Much to See and Do During Fall in Branson

presleysAutumn in Branson is full of great things to see and do.  Let’s start with the “doing.”  During Branson’s fall season there are many great live shows to take in.  The Branson Lakeside RV Park is centrally located to the famed Highway 76 strip.  Within just a few moments you can be on one of the main roadways in town that will take to shows like the Presleys’, Baldknobbers, Shoji Tabuchi, Pierce Arrow and many many more.

We especially love to share the tips and tricks we have learned over the years. Here are a few things new RVers may want to know!

How to choose the perfect RV Park!
As a new RVer you will want to consider what type of activities you will want to take advantage of in Branson, Missouri. The Branson Lakeside RV Park is located right in the middle of the Historic Downtown area, so you are very close to shopping, shows, dining and attractions. We are also located along the banks of Lake Taneycomo, so if fishing is on your to-do list, we are literally steps away from world-class trout fishing. Look at the site map of the RV Park you are considering. At the Branson Lakeside RV Park our sites range from back-in sites to super sites that can accommodate up to 90 foot long rigs! If you are new to driving your RV, you may want to consider a pull through site for ease. For those who are comfortable in driving an RV you may want to consider one of our lakefront sites. You can enjoy an unobstructed view of Lake Taneycomo! At the Branson Lakeside RV Park we will provide an escort that will lead you to your site, so don’t worry about finding your way to your site.

What happens if I have trouble with my RV?
At the Branson Lakeside RV Park, we hope you have a trouble-free visit, but unfortunately IMG_0095things happen! It’s not uncommon for one of our park staff to be able to help you troubleshoot a problem. In the case of a bigger issue, Branson Mobile RV Repair will come right to you…and quickly! Visit Downtown Branson while at the Branson Lakeside RV Park

IMG_0060The Branson Lakeside RV Park is located in Historic Downtown Branson. This area is home to some of Branson’s oldest buildings filled with great history! The Downtown area is also home to unique shops, many of them still “mom and pop” owned.

dicks510One shop you don’t want to miss when visiting the Downtown area is Dick’s 5 & 10. This quintessential Americana five and dime store is truly home to everything. Here you will find great souvenir items and you may even find that item you’ve been looking for back home!

If you work up an appetite will wondering Branson’s Downtown, you will find several great restaurants. One we recommend is the Farm House. Its delicious home cooking and make sure you leave room for some Blackberry Cobbler.

There is a convenient trolley that runs throughout the Downtown area to help you get around. The closest trolley stop to the Branson Lakeside RV Park is at stop #7 near the Bass Pro Store at the Branson Landing. The Branson Lakeside RV Park is located adjacent to Branson Landing, so it’s just a short distance to catch the trolley!

Budget Friendly Branson

Once you make it to Branson there are a few golden nuggets of free entertainment you need to know about. By staying at the Branson Lakeside RV Park you have chosen a campground that is close to all the action and fun things to do in Branson!

stone-hillIf you like wine, a trip to Stone Hill Winery is a must. You can sample their award winning wines and learn about the German settlers who found their way to Missouri, a land similar to their native Rhineland.

If being outdoors is more what you had in mind, check out the many parks and walking trails the City of Branson has to offer. You can visit Lake Taneycomo, Branson’s cold lake and see the Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery and for a few dollars you can feed the trout that are being raised at the hatchery. The Branson Lakeside RV Park is right along the bank of Lake Taneycomo.

deweyWarm water more your style? If it is, you can head on over to the other side of Table Rock Dam to the Dewey Short Visitor Center and learn about the history of the Ozarks and Table Rock Lake!

Want to do a little shopping The Branson Mill Craft Village has over a dozen demonstrators creating unique products for you to take home for yourself of a gift to a friend. Relax and enjoy the entertainment on their two entertainment stages. You will find a compressed eddielittle country and bluegrass music will get your toes tapping! Also, the Branson Landing is just steps away from the Branson Lakeside RV Park. Various weekends during the summer they host live bands in front of the fountains. Plus, the Branson Landing has a courtesy shuttle from the RV Park to the Landing.

A trip to Branson has be packed with fun, without breaking the bank!
