The musical is based around character Hank Longley played by country star Billy Dean.  Longley’s Toy Shoppe has been filled with magic, wonders and miracles for nearly 100 years. It’s a place where toys come to life and children gather to hear owner Hank Longley tell stories, of love, faith and appreciation for the value of every individual. The story is full of old-fashioned values and is great entertainment for the entire family. The original music from the production, featuring 11 songs co-written by Kenny Rogers as well as several holiday classics is available on Dreamcatcher Records.

Branson Fall Line Up Is Star Studded

Lee GreenwoodThe stars are out this fall in Branson.  September and October has quite the line up at Branson Theaters.  Coming this fall to the Andy Williams Moon River Theater is Rich Little, Lee Greenwood, Clint Black and the Happy Together Tour with The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Monkees Lead Singer Micky Dolenz, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap Band and Mark Lindsay, former lead singer of Paul Revere & The Raiders.

The Starlite Theatre will host the Gatlin Brothers, Rhonda Vincent, Gene Wats, Daily Vincent, Wilson Fairchi and the Grascals during September and October in Branson.  At the Oak Ridge Boys Theatre, its name sake will be in Branson for the select dates during the fall Branson season along with playing host to Neal McCoy, Kenny Rogers, Bill Cosby, Sawyer Brown, John Michael Montgomery, Jim Belushi & The Chicago Board of Comedy and Diamond Rio.

So Much to See and Do During Fall in Branson

presleysAutumn in Branson is full of great things to see and do.  Let’s start with the “doing.”  During Branson’s fall season there are many great live shows to take in.  The Branson Lakeside RV Park is centrally located to the famed Highway 76 strip.  Within just a few moments you can be on one of the main roadways in town that will take to shows like the Presleys’, Baldknobbers, Shoji Tabuchi, Pierce Arrow and many many more.

We especially love to share the tips and tricks we have learned over the years. Here are a few things new RVers may want to know!

How to choose the perfect RV Park!
As a new RVer you will want to consider what type of activities you will want to take advantage of in Branson, Missouri. The Branson Lakeside RV Park is located right in the middle of the Historic Downtown area, so you are very close to shopping, shows, dining and attractions. We are also located along the banks of Lake Taneycomo, so if fishing is on your to-do list, we are literally steps away from world-class trout fishing. At the Branson Lakeside RV Park we think it’s less about choosing the right site since all our sites are great and more about choosing the right type of site. Look at the site map of the RV Park you are considering. At the Branson Lakeside RV Park our sites range from back-in sites to super sites that can accommodate up to 90 foot long rigs! If you are new to driving your RV, you may want to consider a pull through site for ease. For those who are comfortable in driving an RV you may want to consider one of our lakefront sites. You can enjoy an unobstructed view of Lake Taneycomo! At the Branson Lakeside RV Park we will provide an escort that will lead you to your site, so don’t worry about finding your way to your site.

What happens if I have trouble with my RV?
At the Branson Lakeside RV Park, we hope you have a trouble-free visit, but unfortunately IMG_0095things happen! It’s not uncommon for one of our park staff to be able to help you troubleshoot a problem. In the case of a bigger issue, Branson Mobile RV Repair will come right to you…and quickly! They will diagnose and fix whatever the issue is and have you fully operational again in no time!

Visit Downtown Branson while at the Branson Lakeside RV Park

IMG_0060The Branson Lakeside RV Park is located in Historic Downtown Branson. This area is home to some of Branson’s oldest buildings filled with great history! The Downtown area is also home to unique shops, many of them still “mom and pop” owned.

dicks510One shop you don’t want to miss when visiting the Downtown area is Dick’s 5 & 10. This quintessential Americana five and dime store is truly home to everything. Here you will find great souvenir items and you may even find that item you’ve been looking for back home!

If you work up an appetite will wondering Branson’s Downtown, you will find several great restaurants. One we recommend is the Farm House. Its delicious home cooking and make sure you leave room for some Blackberry Cobbler.

There is a convenient trolley that runs throughout the Downtown area to help you get around. The closest trolley stop to the Branson Lakeside RV Park is at stop #7 near the Bass Pro Store at the Branson Landing. The Branson Lakeside RV Park is located adjacent to Branson Landing, so it’s just a short distance to catch the trolley!

Branson Honors Veterans Everyday!

Branson has been called one of the most patriotic places in America! This could not be possible if we did not absolutely love our Veterans. It’s always a pleasure to visit with veterans and hear their stories. At Branson Lakeside RV Park we get this opportunity pretty often. Many of the veterans that visit us do so because they can fish without having to go very far at all!

We are located along the banks of Lake Taneycomo, which is home to world-class trout fishing. We are also a very short distance from the shows and attractions of Branson. One thing we hear time after time from visitors is how much they appreciate how many of our shows honor veterans and active duty military.

Camping in the Heart of Branson, Missouri

Rather ride then walk? The Branson Landing has a complimentary shuttle that will pick you up at the RV Park and drop you off at the landing. Once you have explored the landing, hop on the Downtown Trolley “Sparkey” and explore the shops of Historic Downtown Branson or visit the historic train depot where it all began way back when. The shuttle has six stops throughout Downtown. It’s a great way to navigate the hills and traffic.

We are also a short drive from the famous Hwy 76 County Music Boulevard that hosts 50 theaters with over 100 shows and attractions for everyone.

Campground Pics 002If you prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of Branson you don’t even have to leave the RV Park. Want to do some trout fishing? Visit our onsite marina Scotty’s Trout Dock. Forgot you boat and your gear? The helpful folks at Scotty’s can rent you the boat, rods, reels and sell you the bait. Want to skip the boat? The RV Park has a fishing dock where you can walk right down to the water and cast a line! If you did bring your own boat there is a ramp available to launch and explore the splendor of Lake Taneycomo!

Take advantage of our free cable television hook ups and WIFI. We know the avid RV travelers love to travel with their furry 4 legged friends. Even Fido can enjoy our off leash dog park. We love your furry four legged friends and welcome them with open arms and laps!

Whether you have a pull behind travel trailer, fifth wheel, or a Class A Big Rig we have the pull through site to accommodate your set up. Our sites have 30 or 50 amp services with all the amenities of home like sewer and water hook ups.
