So Much to See and Do During Fall in Branson

presleysAutumn in Branson is full of great things to see and do.  Let’s start with the “doing.”  During Branson’s fall season there are many great live shows to take in.  The Branson Lakeside RV Park is centrally located to the famed Highway 76 strip.  Within just a few moments you can be on one of the main roadways in town that will take to shows like the Presleys’, Baldknobbers, Shoji Tabuchi, Pierce Arrow and many many more.

Branson shows are great, but did you know we are also home to several exciting attractions?  The Titanic Museum Attraction is a must-see…and if you have seen if before…see it again!  The Titanic Museum is continuously changing exhibits.  There is also the new Promised Land Zoo.  Even if you are visiting without the kids, it’s a beautiful place to stroll along the park-like setting and visit many exotic animals.

Shriner’s Parade Route in Branson, MO

Branson will play host to the 2013 Central States Shrine Association Convention August 21st -25th. Shriner’s from Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa are going to converge on the city for several days of fun and competition.

Saturday, August 24th from 9am to 12 pm, the convention will be hosting a parade in Downtown Branson, just feet from the Branson Lakeside RV Park.  You can easily walk to the parade route from our RV Park!

The public is invited to watch as the parade makes its way through Downtown Branson, following the Adoration Parade route. The units begin line up at 7 am and the parade commences at 9am. Pick you spot along the parade route because as the say EVERYONE LOVES A PARADE!


Top 3 Reasons to Visit Branson in Late Summer

camground 2There are way more than three reasons to visit Branson anytime of the year, but we are narrowing down our favorite things about Branson and late summer.  If you’ve been to Branson before you may not realize all the fun to be had in late summer!

Reason #1 The Weather

Summer weather in Branson can be, shall we say, a bit warm.  This summer its also been a bit rainy, but the weather in late August has cool mornings and evenings and sunshiny afternoons.  This weather is just perfect for sightseeing, fishing along the banks of Lake Taneycomo (which are only feet from all our RV sites), shopping or catching a Branson show.

Reason #2  The Crowds

campgroundLate August and September in Branson sees smaller crowds.  The kids have gone back to school and this time is known as the calm before the Fall and Christmas peak seasons.  During the late summer in Branson you still have wonderful shows and attractions, but you also have less traffic, making the late summer crowds reason #2 to visit during this time of the year.





Reason #3 Special Events

September if full of special events in Branson!  Just a few blocks from the Branson Lakeside RV Park is the area known as Historic Downtown Branson.  This area will place host to the Autumn Daze Celebration September 19-21.  This event is full of arts, crafts and entertainment.

Beginning August 23rd is Silver Dollar City’s Southern Gospel Picnic, running through September 2nd. September 12th Silver Dollar City’s National Harvest Festival will open brimming with crafters from all over, but many hailing from right here in Missouri.

Branson Welcomes Shriners


Branson is ready to roll out the red carpet for Shriners!  For five days in August, 4,000+ Shriners will be holding their 2013 Central States Shrine Association Convention, August 21-25, in Branson.


Who exactly are the Shriners?  Shriners are often known for the red fezzes they wear and their good works with the Shriners Hospitals for Children.  The organization is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. Shriners International describes itself as a fraternity based on fun, fellowship and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth. There are approximately 340,000 members from 195 temples (chapters) in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Mexico, the Republic of Panama, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Europe and Australia.

The Branson Convention will bring several temples (chapters) from the middle US together in one place for one fun time in Branson, Missouri.  The Branson Lakeside RV Park is a great place to gather for these types of events.  With ample space for all sizes of RV rigs, we are convenient in so many ways!
